And she's already three weeks old! We love her so much and are amazed by her every day. We made her. She is ours, our little family... mommy and daddy's best buddy.
She's only been alive for three weeks but she's already been given a thousand kisses each from mom and dad and in return given us so many smiles and reasons to be proud.
On Wednesday I rushed her to the Emergency room at Children's hospital because she was having weird twitches and convulsions. Scariest thing ever. They kept her for three days in the NICU where she had to have a spinal tap, an EEG and various blood work. It was heartbreaking watching her scream and cry. They even put a catheter in her to collect urine. I cried every day. I stayed at the hospital morning and nights and held her when she wasn't having her vitals taken. I read to her. I sang to her and rocked her. I fell asleep with her in my arms.
Rob's mom met me there right away and stayed with me... held her the whole time when I went to pick up Rob. Lifesaver. Friday Genevieve and the visiting nurse came by to visit. Friday night Rob's mom, sister, niece and sister's fiance came to see Arya... and Hillary even stopped by our place with a ready home cooked meal and some milk for Arya... and swings and stuff! I'm totally overwhelmed by all the love people have shown our little family.
Arya came home yesterday... and today we visited my friend Mallory and were also brought a meal by my friend Anna. People love my daughter and I absolutely love that... because she's pretty special. I'm so fortunate to be her mama and that she's healthy and doing well.
