for the 3rd time in a week. I guess you can say, for sure, that I've felt better. I haven't worn makeup in days, my eyes are puffy and dark from crying and dehydration. However, after the 3rd bag of fluids, I started to feel a lot better and the zofran makes a huge difference. The regulan didn't work for me at all. I remember taking that and vomiting it up minutes later. Also, dry heaves are probably the worst thing ever. Why does it have to be so loud too? When I puke it doesn't make any noise but when I'm dry heaving? URAUAGHHHHHHH! EEEEURGH!
We did get to see the BB today though. In two weeks? That thing got huge. I'm pretty sure it's a boy. It just feels like it. (I hope so.) I'm still terrified about so many things though. They changed the due date though, from March 13th to March 9th. Which puts me at 8 weeks at 5 days.
I had my first meeting with my doula today. I really enjoyed it. She surprised me today with Seabands for my morning sickness. (So far, I've been able to eat and keep my food down. I'd like to think it's helping... but I'm also pumped full of zofran. I stopped taking my antibiotics yesterday but decided to ease back into them. I think the problem, or what was making the puke escalate was all the damn medicine in my system and hardly any food or liquid in my stomach to help out.)
Why antibiotics? I broke a tooth the other day and I have an infection in my jaw now. The dentist says I need a root canal but she'd like to wait until I'm in my second semester. Oh, and who doesn't look forward to that? I feel like the universe is just screwing with me at this point. I'm not a fan. The same day I went to the dentist? Was also the day that I ended up running Oswin to the vet. Her face was swelling mysteriously. I was lucky my mom picked up the tab for that. My mom and dad have been helping me out a lot lately. It makes me feel terrible. So many unexpected circumstances and no financial cushion. D: So I might be moving in with Rob next month.
Rob has been great though. I kind of broke down after having to pick up my prescription for zofran. (Sooooo expensive, urgh!) He bought me everything I wanted from the grocery store for my cravings and it made me cry. I don't know how I'd deal with pregnant Bree.
I'm also very grateful for my boss being super understanding of my situation, my therapist, and my friends who have helped me so far with Oswin, picking me up from the hospital... etc. There are definitely good people here. It's comforting when my family is so sooo far away.
